My approach to
effective and successful garden design is based around:
Successful interpretation of the client’s wishes and aspirations
Being responsive to the existing architecture and surrounding area
Innovative resolution of issues and requirements
Creating functional, attractive and workable spaces
The combination
of all these things leads to the creation of a visually stunning, highly
individualised and practical garden based
on the client's original brief.
My
philosophy is based upon finding innovative solutions. For example, in
smaller spaces I have incorporated vertical planting schemes including
herb and salad walls combined with insect hotels. These create a natural
ecosystem as well as adding interest through sculptural elements.
I am particularly interested in natural, edible and wildlife friendly
plants and I have assisted schools to develop stimulating and
interactive environments for children. So that they can learn
through watching and tending to their gardens.
I work closely with a number of nurseries,
craftspeople and suppliers, which helps to ensure that the completed
garden is of the highest quality.
