My approach to effective and successful garden design is based around:

  • Successful interpretation of the client’s wishes and aspirations
  • Being responsive to the existing architecture and surrounding area
  • Innovative resolution of issues and requirements
  • Creating functional, attractive and workable spaces

The combination of all these things leads to the creation of a visually stunning, highly individualised and practical garden based on the client's original brief.

My philosophy is based upon finding innovative solutions. For example, in smaller spaces I have incorporated vertical planting schemes including herb and salad walls combined with insect hotels. These create a natural ecosystem as well as adding interest through sculptural elements.
I am particularly interested in natural, edible and wildlife friendly plants and I have assisted schools to develop stimulating and interactive environments for children. So that they can learn through watching and tending to their gardens.

I work closely with a number of nurseries, craftspeople and suppliers, which helps to ensure that the completed garden is of the highest quality.
